My first case study is from Seth Lakeman - Freedom Fields.
When opened there are three front and three back covers. I feel this would imply a lot of work for just one person to attempt and so initially is not a positive response from me. However I do like how there is a sleeve and a plastic casing to hold the CD's. I would personally go for the plastic tray. There is also a little notch opening for a booklet, I h
owever felt that this is a bit fiddly and so would find a better way to have a booklet.
Bellowhead - Burlesque
This has but only four sides and one of which is an inbuilt booklet. Both of these sound like good ideas and I shall most certainly use it in some way. The reason it is good is because it makes the digipak value for money. Ultimately that is the main attraction to digipaks.
I shall make the inbuilt booklet be a book containing the song lyrics and other songs that the buyer may also like. This is an idea usually seen on websites where they suggest to you other songs you may like. I feel it could also work excellently at this juncture.
